7. Things To Consider
'Things To Consider'
LIGHTING
Lighting is something that I think is very important in a music video, as it has the ability to change the mood of the narrative, reinforcing the importance of the set, and also helping the audience in gaining a better understanding of the characters themselves. I am planning on using lighting to contrast the action between scenes. I will incorporate the visual juxtaposition of dark and light, further emphasising the clashing emotions and the characters' state of mind.
LIP-SYNC AND CONVINCING PERFORMANCE
Lip-sync will be used at various points in my music video. A convincing performance is essential to my video and its narrative as it will increase the emotion and sympathy within the audience. It will also hopefully reinstate the representation throughout the video, creating a more normalised sense of humanity.
DANCE
An element of dance could assist a music video in representing different art forms. In using movement, I hope to present a release of emotion and passion, relating to the track as it will highlight the meaning of the song, and draw attention to the impact the character's situation has on their life. Dance is often perceived as detailed and choreographed to perfection, however, I am going to integrate movement, again to consolidate the narrative and the character's emotions.
