ANTHEM


KEY ELEMENTS:


  • “An anthem is a musical composition of celebration usually used as a symbol for a distinct group, particularly the national anthems of countries.”

  • The anthem genre has a general sense of pride and contains music that brings people together.

  • Anthems tend to encourage people and communities to dance and feel that strong sense of belonging and community and warmth within.


ACTS WITHIN THE GENRE:


Stereotypically, anthemic songs would usually be considered songs within the genres of dance and house with an upbeat rhythm and potentially a major chord progression. These tracks could typically have perfect cadence or a key change somewhere in the song leaving the listener with a sense of resolution leading to a happy and heartwarming feeling which is perhaps why some genres have greater audiences than others.

  • Going to festivals

  • Clubbing

  • Partying

  • Listening among communities 

  • Community events

  • Concerts and dancing in crowds

  • Mosh pits

  • Heard in places of retail and business providing services

38. The Process of Creating My Web Pages

 Creating Web Pages When choosing a website-creating platform, I chose Wix. I chose it as I saw the potential of creating the artist's website I had envisioned. I started by choosing colours that I thought correlated with my music videos, such as blues, as I needed a sense of synergy and branding. This also allowed me to add my artist's logo at the top of the page, next to the given navigation menu.  I also added in section background drops of waves as a few of my scenes are on the beach and I saw this as a sign. The blues of the ocean and the sky related to my synergy colour of choice. The first recognisable feature of my home page is the website header video which consists of short clips of my music video to tell the storyline and engage the audience immediately.   My home page has my main artist image next to a brief information column to fully introduce the artist.
