24. Evidence of Production
Evidence of Production
I began my production by transferring all of the footage from my camera to my computer. I created folders to keep all of the footage safe alongside having them stored in my computer's camera roll. I created a folder for day one filming, day two filming and one to gather production evidence in. I gathered as much footage as possible during filming days to ensure that I would not need any reshoots. During filming, certain scenes took a longer time than expected, however, this gave me extra shots which I found very helpful in the editing process as I was able to pick and choose exactly how I wanted the final video to look.

Once I had all of my footage gathered, I then began a first attempt to edit the first few scenes of my video. First, I needed to add my chosen track so I converted the song to an MP3 track and was then able to add it as the software did not allow tracks from my computer directly or from streaming services.

After I added the track, I organised the footage into "to keep/use" and "blooper reel". I looked over my storyboards and selected footage that correlated with them to create and edit the beginning of my video.

I added a sound effect with seagulls and water sounds to make the setting seem more genuine.

I decided to make it fade out before the track started to initiate and reinforce the beginning of the video and to make the first drum beat more impactful in correlation to the scene.

I continued editing and created the montage of them baking and dancing.

I kept an eye on the timing of my video throughout to make sure I had enough to work with.

Some of the footage was really shaky as I found it hard to keep the camera steady as I was walking backwards on the beach so I decided to stabilise it.

I decided to edit the video so the lyrics related to the visuals and make it more enticing for the audience as it is showing the mind of the character.

I then created my logo and copyright symbols onto a still image to place at the beginning of my music video. I layered this on top of the first scene as I thought it looked better than just being on a black screen.
